The signal

Teachers often complete accurate records throughout a term and then spend additional hours translating them into a separate reporting format. This is a systems design problem: the evidence exists but cannot travel.

What the evidence asks us to notice

• Attendance and marks should remain linked to the class.
• Curriculum progress should be captured as teaching happens.
• Narrative comments need evidence and teacher context.
• Final approval must remain human.

A necessary limit

A report can become misleading when missing evidence is filled with generic language. The system should show gaps rather than hide them.
