The Focused School Pilot Framework
A one-term approach to testing usefulness, adoption, support needs and evidence before wider implementation.

The problem the framework addresses
A pilot should answer specific questions, not act as a free trial with a report added later. The cohort, curriculum scope, baseline, support model and decision gate should be defined before activation.
The framework
- Readiness before the term.
- Focused onboarding in week one.
- Normal use and support during the term.
- Evidence collection with limitations.
- Joint review and a clear next decision.
How it applies inside Asmbly
Asmbly’s school implementation begins with a small teacher group and the work already ahead of them. The purpose is to discover what remains useful when the platform is no longer new.
The boundary
A pilot cannot prove national learning impact or guarantee procurement. Results should report missing data, adverse findings and the conditions required for continuation.
